My Pixie is a pixie

4 months already :( 4 months, and she's still the size of a newborn. Little butt had her well-check yesterday-10 lbs (3rd percentile-which is technically *below* the chart!), 23 1/2 inches (12th percentile), and her head is 15 1/2 (5th percentile). That's right, the little girl we've been calling a cupcake pixie really IS a pixie. Her height is still growing consistantly (she's hovered between 10% and 25% since birth), but she only gained 1/2 a pound in 2 months. She has little thigh rolls, round cheeks, and looks proportionate, so I wasn't expecting to hear all of the concerns the pediatrician had.

Now, I have to push solid food (especially cereal, which she seems to hate) as much as possible, feed her more frequently, and anything else I can think of, until I take her back in 1 month for another weight check. The doctor isn't worried about her being low on the chart, as long as she gets back ON the chart.

There's something so precious about such a tiny baby doing the things she does. Watching the wide-eyed expressions from people as they gasp in shock that my "newborn" is holding her head perfectly, and especially when she tries to hold her balance while sitting. What she lacks in size, she's making up in determination and physical achievements. She can roll both ways, scoot, and she's almost desperately trying to sit already :)

Her little feet are still barely fitting into size 1 shoes-biggest brother was *born* with size 3's!!! Everything about her is just so tiny and precious, and I love this girl to pieces <3
